The portal
Step onto the portal. Now look up, towards the sun! It's the lunar lander, on a collision course for the sun. An explosion! You've done it, the staff is destroyed! Roll the credits!
Back on earth
The game doesn't just end and kick you back to the menu though. You'll find yourself on the other end of the portal, back on earth. You can still travel around and explore, even take the portal back to the moon. You will notice some changes, notably in Seaside where they've rebuilt the town and replaced the old statue with one of the new hero, Eny!
